Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address submitted to a search form is sent to the third-party provider operating that result tool. Marina Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the information in that message is used to respond to the inquiry.
Routine Technical Logs
Hosting systems may record an IP address, browser details, pages viewed, and time stamps. Those logs are reviewed in aggregate for site reliability and broad readership measures. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar tools when those services are enabled.
How the Information Is Used
The limited information supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic counts, and page improvement. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from this reference's own data.
External Portals and Tools
Pages link to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The operator of each destination sets its own privacy terms and controls what is done with information submitted there. Sponsored results are supplied by a separate provider.
Possible Recipients
Hosting and technical service providers may process the server logs needed to run the pages. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not shared beyond the purposes stated here.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for as long as the operational purposes above require. No account exists here, so the site does not maintain a visitor password or user profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, use the contact route so it can be deleted.
Your California Privacy Choices
Depending on the facts of a request, California's Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act, including Civil Code section 1798.100 and following provisions, may provide rights to know, correct, delete, limit certain sensitive-information uses, or opt out of sale or sharing by covered businesses. Because this reference retains very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs, then removing information within our control.
Use the Contact page for a request. Government records held by California, Monterey County, or Marina offices are outside this operator's control. A deletion or correction request for those records belongs with the custodian, subject to the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 and following, and any applicable retention or disclosure rule.
